Dr. Anand Singh Bisht (President)
Dr. Anand Singh Bisht, President of the SICJAA, belongs to village Chhanagaon, Malla Salam (Almora) and presently settled at Haldwani. He took admission in 6th class in SIC Jayanti in 1967 and passed High School in 1972 in 1st division with distinction in science and maths. He did his MSc in physics from DSB College Nainital in 1979. In 1980 he was selected as Lecturer in physics by Uttar Pradesh government. He was selected as principal by UPSC in 2001 and subsequently as Education officer under Delhi Govt. He finally retired as Dy. Director of Education GNCT of Delhi in 2017.
During his professional career he enhanced his qualifications by acquiring many degrees like PhD, LLB (DU), MEd, PG DIPLOMA in personnel management from various universities, by dint of his keen interest in the pursuit of knowledge. He was awarded with National Certificate of Merit by NCERT three times in succession for innovation in the field of science Education on all India basis. He was also given National science teacher award by National Academy of Sciences India ALLAHABAD in 1999. DELHI Govt awarded him as best Educational Administrator during the period.
He has attended many state and national level seminars and workshops during his career growth, including IIM Ahmedabad, NIEPA. Delhi, National Science Congress Kolkata. Dr. Bisht has also processed more than 200 court cases at lower court and SC on behalf of DOE, Delhi as Law Officer/DEO successfully. He has been visiting SIC Jayanti after his retirement and provided scholarship to three meritorious students at school every year.
Er. Amar Nath Singh Bisht (Public Relations Secretary)
Er. Amar Nath Singh Bisht, Secretary Public Relations, SICJAA, belongs to village Badiyar, Tahsil Bhanoli (Almora) and presently based at Haldwani. He studied in SIC, Jayanti from 1967 to 1972 and passed High School examination in first division with honours. Thereafter he moved to GIC Nainital and passed the intermediate exam in the first division.
Later, he graduated in B. Tech. (Civil Engg) in first division from G B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar in 1979 and served as Teaching Associate at College of Technology, Pantnagar in 1980.
In 1981, he joined Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam as Assistant Engineer and finally joined Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department as Assistant Engineer in 1982. He retired as Chief Engineer after serving in different capacities in Irrigation Department in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand (2006-2017) government. Presently, after retirement in 2017, Uttarakhand government appointed him as State Quality Monitor for Pradhan Mantri Gram Sarak Yojana, a flagship program of central government.
Dr. Sunjay Gururani (Vice President)
Dr. Sanjay Gururani, Vice President of SICJAA, is son of our respected teacher Shri Lokmani Gururani Ji. He belongs to village Suri and currently settled at Haldwani. He studied in SIC, Jayanti from 1988 to 1995 and passed Intermediate exam in 1995. He is a devout knowledge seeker and has acquired master’s degree in six subjects namely Hindi, English, Sanskrit, History, Economics and Pedagogy and has also done B Ed & PhD in Pedagogy.
He has written a number of books including Talash (collection of poems), Drishti and Manthan (Research work) etc has contributed a number of articles for national and international magazines. His research work includes importance of moral and spiritual teachings of Upanishads in modern education system, etc. Presently he is working as lecturer in DIET, Uttarakhand government.
He has deep insight of Upanishad and other religious scripture. He is good orator and Kathawachak. He has conducted more than hundred Bhagwat Katha in different parts of the country.
Narayan Singh Bisht (General Secretary)
Shri Narayan Singh Bisht, General Secretary of the SICJAA belongs to village Jainti and presently based in New Delhi. He is an alumnus of Sarvoday Inter College Jayanti and studied in SIC from 1976 to 1982. He also represented Cricket and Volleyball teams of College. After getting higher education from Kumaon University Constituent College, Almora, he joined Central Secretariat Service in 1992. He has served various Ministries including Information and Broadcasting, Defence, Power, AYUSH, Home Affairs, Environment, Forest & Climate Change and Ministry of Education in different capacities. He has also worked as Deputy Director General in Competition Commission of India from 2017-2020 and investigated various high value cases relating to anti-competitive activities.
Presently, he is working as Deputy Secretary in Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, New Delhi. He has vast experience of administration, finance, accounts, vigilance, legislative procedures and policy framing. He has also represented Govt. of India in various international fora including United Nations Drugs and Organised Crime convention in Abu Dhabi, UAE in 2013, Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC), Joint Working Group meeting in Bangkok, Thailand in 2015, Joint Working Group meeting on anti –terrorism in Dushambe, Tajakistan in 2017 and also visited UK, France, Germany and other EU countries on official assignments.
Yadav Singh Gahtori (Secretary)
Shri Yadav Singh Gahtori (Yogesh Gahtori) is Founder Secretary of the Sarvoday Inter College Jayanti Alumni Association (SICJAA). He studied in SIC, Jainti from 1984 to 1990. He belongs to village Basgaon, Jainti, Almora, Uttarakhand and presently settled in Delhi since 1990. He has been instrumental in getting the association registered under the Society Registration Act, 1860 and ensured statutory compliances.
For last 35 years, he has been working in the IT sector. He started his career as an Assistant Manager and held this position from 1990 to 1999. After that, till today he is working as HR & Admin Head in the IT company. He is also a professional SAP (Enterprise Resource Planning Software) Master Data Management (MDM) Consultant and has humongous years of experience in Data Migration and has been associated with very big size SAP projects, to name a few: ONGC, CMPFO, Eicher Motor, Mother Dairy, ICAI, GAIL Gas, Gail India, BSNL, Delhi Transco, HMEL, HCL Tech, HCL Info, KBCL (Kribhco), IOCL, Jaypee Infra, Bata, SBL, Airports Authority of India, Boettcher India, Indigo, DMRC, HIL, Capsugel Healthcare etc. demonstrating a unique ability to manage data in excel to meet SAP Master Data rules.
Yogesh Gahtori is also a very experienced Astrologer & Vastu Consultant with specialization in Matrimonial alliances for the last 24 years. Further on, he is the Secretary of Parvatiya Sanskritik Mandal, Vikaspuri, New Delhi and providing technical support to Shri Aidi Dev Mandir Committee Charkham, Almora, Uttarakhand. Also, He is helping in functional and Event related support to the Modern School Old Students Association (MSOSA), Barakhamba Road, Delhi.
Himanshu Pandey (Treasurer)
Shri Himanshu Pandey S/o of our respected teacher Late Shri Mohan Chandra Pandey Ji, Treasurer of the SICJAA belongs to village Naya Sangroli, Jainti. He is alumnus of SIC and studied from 6th to 8th and passed out 8th in 1988. He was one of the brightest students of SIC, Jayanti and was awarded Integrated Scholarship.
After that, he moved to GIC Almora, for further studies and passed out 12th standard and Post graduated in Mathematics in 2002 from Kumaon University (Almora campus). Then he joined SIC, Jayanti as Lecturer of mathematics. He is a very sincere and hardworking teacher who gives his best in tedious subject like Mathematics.
Mohan Singh Kunwar (Organization Secretary)
Shri Mohan Singh Kunwar, Organisation Secretary of SICJAA is son of one of the first teachers of SIC, Jayanti namely Shri Dikar Singh Kunwar. His father was a freedom fighter and teacher who retired from GIC Nainital. He belongs to village Kandey and currently settled at Dehradun. He studied in SIC, Jayanti from 1970 to 1974 and passed his high school exam in first division in 1974. Thereafter he moved to Nainital for higher studies and studied in DSB, College. He passed MSc from DSB College Nainital in 1980.
He qualified Forest Ranger’s exam conducted by the then Public Service Commission of UP and was posted as Range Officer Uttarkashi. He worked in various capacities in Forest Departments of UP and Uttarakhand. He was posted in Jainti Range of Panar Project for four years. During his tenure at Jainti, he served his motherland with full dedication. The fruits of afforestation and plantation done during his tenure are enjoyed now by the local masses. After serving various Divisions of forest, he retired as DFO in 2019. He is still active and has started new venture.
Jagjiwan Bisht (Public Relations Officer)
Shri Jagjiwan Bisht, Public Relation Officer of the SICJAA belongs to village Jainti. He is an alumnus of Sarvoday Inter College Jayanti and studied in SIC, Jayanti from class 9th to 12th. He passed Intermediate examination in 2003. Thereafter, he moved to Uddham Singh Nagar for higher education and completed B. Com. Degree.
In 2005 he was appointed as Junior Assistant in DM office Almora and posted in Sult Tehsil. After two year’s service and getting expertise in computer software handling, he was nominated for GIS mapping training in Geography Department of Shri Soban Singh Jeena campus of Kumaon University. Thereafter, he handled important assignments on GIS mapping in district administration of Almora.
From 2008 till date, he has worked in different capacities in DM office including Assistant and Section Head. At present he is working as Assistant Chief Revenue Accountant in the office of DM, Almora, Uttarakhand.
Adv. Jitendra Kumar Bora (Law Secretary)
Advocate Shri Jitendra Kumar Bora, Secretary, Law of SICJAA is son of one of the oldest teachers of SIC, Jayanti namely Shri Roop Sing Bora. He belongs to village Nirai and currently settled at Haldwani. He studied in SIC, Jayanti from 1988 to 1995 and passed Inter mediate exam in 1995. Thereafter he moved to Almora for higher studies and graduated from Shri Soban Singh Jeena, Campus of Kumaon University. Further he studied law. Thereafter he moved to Haldwani and did post-graduation in law.
Shri Bora is practicing lawyer at Haldwani since 2005. He is panel lawyer for various authorities including banks. The Administration has appoint.ed him notary at SDM Court Haldwani. He is a established lawyer and visits Nainital and Almora for practice.
Vikram Singh Bisht (Publicity Officer)
Shri Vikram Singh Bisht, Publicity Officer of SICJAA Executive Committee, belongs to village Kutoli. He is a retired Hony Lt. of Indian Army. He is alumni of SIC Jayanti and passed out 12th exam in 1990. His primary education occurred at his parental village Kutoli.
After passing out from SIC, Jayanti, he joined Indian Army. He completed his diploma in Electrical & Mechanical Engineering from the College of Military Engineering, Pune and was appointed as Junior Engineer (JE), Electrical and Mechanical. He served many Army stations as JE. He retired from Indian Army in 2020.
After retirement from Indian Army, he settled in Bacchi Nagar, Haldwani. He is a social worker like his father, Shri Trilok Singh Bisht, who remained president of Aridev Mandir Committee, Charkham, for 22 years. After his father’s death, he took over as President of Aridev Mandir Committee and devoted to service Aridev Mandir.
Principal Prakash Lal Verma (EC Member)
Shri Prakash Lal Verma, Principal (Incharge, SIC Jayanti), Ex-officio Member belong to village Chanauli, Someshwar. He passed his Intermediate from Government Inter College, Salong. For higher education he moved to Almora and did graduation and post-graduation from Shri Soban Singh Jeena, Campus of Kumaon University.
He was appointed as teacher in Government Junior High School Bhul Kharkwal village. He joined SIC Jayanti as Lecturer in 2006. Currently he Principal Incharge of the SIC, Jayanti. Being the Principal of the SIC, Jayanti, he is ex-officio member of the SICJAA Executive Committee.
Shivraj Singh Bisht (EC Member)
Shri Shiv Raj Singh Bisht, a nominated Member of EC of SICJAA is son of the oldest non- teaching staff, Assistant Clerk, Shri Pan Singh Bisht Ji. He belongs to village Lamkot, Almora. He is an alumnus of SIC, Jayanti and passed Intermediate exam in 1995. After Intermediate he moved to Almora for higher education and did his masters in English from Almora campus of Kumaon University. He has been working as Lecturer in SIC, Jayanti since 2002. He is a dynamic teacher and leader who leads by example. He is one the favourite teachers of the students of SIC Jayanti, who stablishes effortless bonding with all students.
His contribution in extra-curricular activities in SIC is also remarkable. He is an outstanding orator and connects easily with his audience. He is also working as Associate NCC Officer in Army Wing which is equivalent to Lieutenant.
Jaman Singh (EC Member)
Shri Jaman Singh Sijwali, Lecturer,
Chemistry of SIC Jayanti is a member of the Executive Committee of the SICJAA.
He belongs to village Punauli post office Nayal distt. Almora . His primary education occurred in the Primary
School Dyunathal, and he did high school from GIC Dyunathal. For intermediate
education, he shifted to SIC Jayanti and passed intermediate in 1991. As such,
he is alumni of SIC from 1990 to 1991.
For higher education, he moved to Almora
and graduated in 1994 and post-graduation in 1996 in chemistry with first
division. He joined SIC Jayanti in the year 2003 as Lecturer of Chemistry after retirement of
Shri Jagjiwan Bora ji. Presently, he is working as a Lecturer, Chemistry in SIC
Jayanti. He is a dedicated teacher and
has vast experience of science teaching, especially that of Chemistry. Students
of SIC have great respect for him.
Chandan Singh Bisht (EC Member)
Shri Chandan Singh Bisht, EC Member of SICJAA, belongs to village Kutauli. Presently, he is settled in Kamaluwagaja, Haldwani. He studied in SIC Jayanti from 2000 to 2007 and passed intermediate exam in 2007.
He moved to Haldwani for higher education and passed MA in sociology from M.B.PG Collage Haldwani, Nainital. Thereafter, he pursued technical education and completed a diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education Roorkee.
At present, he has been working as an Engineer in the Automobile Industry, Bhiwadi, Rajasthan since 2013.
Deepak Singh Bora (EC Member)
Shri Deepak Singh Bora, Member of SICJAA, Executive Committee is from Village Darimi, His primary and secondary education occurred at Sishu Mandir Birkham up to 5th standard followed by Pawneswar Bal Vidya Mandir up to 10th. He moved SIC Jayanti for intermediate and passed intermediate exam in 2010. He did diploma in manufacturing technology from NTTF (South based University) joined Ashok Leyland (2nd largest commercial vehicle manufacturers in India) as Diploma Engineer Trainee in 2015 at Hosur Plant (Near to Bangalore) and transferred to Pant Nagar plant in 2018 , currently working as Assistant Manager at Pant Nagar Plant in Planning department.
He is very active on social media platform like Facebook and is a core member of the Haldwani Online 2011 Facebook group (273 K members), which works on social affairs i.e. Medical, Education, Job placement, etc.
